Daya Nueva is a traditional village, in the Heart of
La Vega Baja, better-known as the Orchard of Europe, surrounded by orange trees
and faro houses, where a great variety of crops are cultivated using
traditional methods.
Living in LunaMar means submerging into another way
of life, where you don't have to take your car to buy fresh product in a street
market, or to have tapas and wine in the village centre.
The tradition reigns in these tiny villages with
centuries of history and joyful Mediterranean way of life. The Fiestas for the
Saint Miguel are famous for their glamour. They begin at the end of September
in honour of the parish church built during the Conquest, and the fiestas held
on 28 December to celebrate the Day of the Innocents. We also find the
traditional "Romería de San Isidro" in May, or the "Certamen Literario
Nacional" that area a point of attraction for the whole region.
This rural area, which has kept itself away from the
hustle and bustle of the tourist resorts, is strategically located near the
town of Almoradí, so called the town of furniture, and just a few minutes away
from Guardamar that has some of the best beaches on la Costa Blanca. For the
Golf lovers you have La Finca Golf Course a few minutes away and new Golf Courses
which are going to be built in San Miguel, Jacarilla and Benejuzar.
